You
shouldn’t need an excuse to show your loved one
how much you think of them, however there are
occasions during the year where you really need
to throw caution to the wind and make a big
fuss. Sending Anniversary Flowers,
Valentine's Day Flowers and Birthday Flowers are
a "given" and woe betide if these
Romantic Occasions
are missed (see Romantic Apologies).
Red Roses are the
traditional choice for romantic flowers and
bouquets, but there isn’t a romantic bible that
says you have to send red roses so why not show
some individuality by ordering bouquets
containing Carnations, orange Gerbera, brightly
coloured Calla Lilies or yellow Chrysanthemums.
Match the colour of the flowers with a room in
the house or choose your partners favourite
colour. If your partner likes beautiful
fragrances you can purchase bouquets or bunches
of fragrant flowers. Not only do they look
stunning but also have the added bonus of
filling a room with a heady aroma. Try buying
the magnificent blooms of the Longiflorum
Lilies, Oriental Lilies or sweet smelling
Freesias for a fragrant bouquet.
Apart from the obvious
romantic occasions, most of us unfortunately,
tend to reserve being romantic for those first
flushes of courtship, why? Maybe we feel once
the net has been cast and our catch is safely
landed, there’s no need for romance. Nothing
could be further from the truth, you must have
heard the saying ‘familiarity breads contempt’
so keep those romantic gestures coming. The
smallest of actions can speak volumes, like a
back rub or breakfast in bed; pop a single
flower on the tray, it doesn’t matter if it’s
handed picked from the garden, the
thought
is still there and much appreciated.
New
baby flowers are probably the most important
flower delivery you should remember. Yes, we
know you both created this little bundle of joy
however; your wife, partner or girlfriend has
just spent eight hours in labour and deserves to
know just how proud you are of her. Instead of a
bouquet or flowers, splash out on it’s ‘a boy
gift’ or ‘it’s a girl gift’ with a wicker basket
crammed with beautiful house plants and finished
with contrasting blue or pink accessories.
She’ll be wowed!
Another romantic time in anyone’s life is an
engagement. You’ve been plucking up the courage
to pop the question for what seems like an
eternity and finally the moment has come. The
ring has been purchased and your wondering what
else could make this romantic occasion even more
special. Flowers and champagne of course,
nothing says ‘I Love You’ like a bottle of
bubbly and a posy of her favourite blooms.
Advice; it’s not a good idea to open the
champagne before you get the desired answer; it
could look a little presumptuous. When buying
engagement flowers, subtly find out your
partners favourites, preferably not on the day
before you order, a successful marriage proposal
is all in the planning. Good Luck!
There’s an abundance of
beautiful flowers and bouquets to buy online and
more recently online florist’s offer free
delivery and in some cases free chocolates.
Flowers are for any occasion and shouldn’t be
reserved just for the obvious occasions. Send
‘just because flowers’ occasionally to say ‘just
because I love you’, ‘just because I can’, or
‘just because you brighten my day’. For the real
romantic amongst you, ‘flowers for a year’ are a
great way to show that special someone your love
and devotion month after month. It’s never been
quicker, easier or cheaper to order flowers
online.
Say I love you
with flowers for any romantic occasion and
ensure you keep the sparkle in your love life.
